Funded by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, The “Capacity Building for Measure Advisory Services of the IPARD II Programme in Turkey” project is carried out by Department of Managing Authority for EU Structural Adjustment, General Directorate of Agricultural Reform, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the first module training with the participation of the staff of Ministry, the Chamber of Agriculture and NGOs was held in Antalya on 20th-22nd November of 2019 within the context of the Project.
The aim of the Project is contribute to the improvement of the advisory capacity of the public sector and NGOs that shall give advisory service and free project preparation for low-income farmers and producers to apply for the IPARD II Program. Haluk ÇAĞLAR, Head of the Department of Managing Authority for EU Structural Adjustment, has made an opening statement in the first module meeting, then, a presentation on IPA, IPARD II and advisory service was performed and presentations on the cross-compliance by Ivan Hrvoje Horvat and Slaven Aljinovic, EU experts, were delivered.
In the second and third days of the training, presentations on food safety, general and special hygienic rules, environment, animal welfare, Turkish food codex, digital agriculture and project management were delivered by experts of the Ministry and other.
After the first module trainings, the second module training will be held in December 2019 in Ankara for the same participants.
