The meeting on the structuring activities of the Common Agricultural Policy Network (NRN), which will cover 81 provinces, was held in the week of August 28th, in Kayseri.
Experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and the representatives of all institutions and organizations related to the agricultural policies of the provinces and regions, as well as stakeholders, came together at the meetings that lasted for 4 days and in which the functioning, goals and objectives of NRN were shared.
On the first day of the meeting held in Kayseri, the experts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry visited the Deputy Governor of Kayseri Dr. Abdullah KALKAN and provided information about NRN activities. On the same day, upon the guidance of the Governor, the Deputy Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. Sami YILMAZ, and the Secretary General of the Development Agency, Mr. Ahmet Emin KILCI, who will form the first building blocks of the NRN to be carried out under the coortination of Kayseri, were visited and consultations were conducted. On the second day, a Focus Group meeting was held in the meeting hall of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, which was assigned by the Governor as the NRN Regional Coordination Center. During this meeting, presentations were delivered to the representatives of the relevant institutions and organizations by Ms. Figen ERCAN, Agricultural Engineer in the Department of Managing Authority under the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and their opinions were discussed. Mr. Mehmet CERAN, Deputy Provincial Director of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change; Mr. Osman BAL, Provincial Director of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Interior; Mr. Abdurrahman PINAR, Deputy Provincial Director of Family and Social Services; Mr. Güngör ÇAĞLAYAN, researcher in the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism; Mr. Engin GÜLDÜR, master Agricultural Engineer in the Regional Directorate of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives; and Mr. Mesut ERER, Section Head in Kayseri Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry attended the meeting. ... On Thursday, August 31st, a stakeholder meeting was held with the participation of farmers and all rural development and agriculture actors of the region. During the broadly participated meeting, a presentation was delivered to the stakeholders about the NRN structuring activity, and opinions were exchanged after the presentation.
After the meeting, the Ministry experts met with the Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. Mustafa ŞAHİN, informed him on the process, and discussed the current status. The field activites were completed successfully.

It also aims to ensure the participation of all stakeholders and protect the integrity of local cultural values while implementing rural development policies.
