On October 10, 2023, a meeting regarding the structuring of the Common Agricultural Policy Network (NRN) across all 81 provinces was conducted under the coordination and management of Lokman DÜZGÜN, Deputy Governor of Erzurum. ... The Managing Authority team, and the representatives of all institutions and organizations related to the agricultural policies of the provinces and regions, as well as stakeholders, came together at the meetings that lasted for 4 days and in which the functioning, goals and objectives of CAP Network were shared. On the first day of the meetings in Erzurum, the IPARD Managing Authority team paid a visit to DÜZGÜN, Deputy Governor of Erzurum, at his office. During the visit, detailed information was shared about the CAP Network, along with an overview of the upcoming activities planned for Erzurum within this framework. On the same day, visits were made to Alpaslan KENGER, Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Oktay GÜVEN, Secretary General of Northeast Anatolia Development Agency (KUDAKA), Prof. Osman DEMİRDÖĞEN, President of Eastern Anatolia Project (DAP) Regional Development Administration, Zafer AYNALI, Secretary General of Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality, Prof. Hüseyin ÖZER, Vice Rector of Atatürk University, and Atilla Özlü, ARDSI Provincial Coordinator. These visits aimed to provide these key stakeholders with information about the activities planned. ... On the second day, a Core Group Meeting was convened in the meeting hall of Erzurum Governorship. During the meeting, Berna GİRESUNLU from the Managing Authority team delivered a presentation on the “EU New Common Agricultural Policy in the Rural Network Process,” defining the responsibilities of the institutions and organizations associated with the CAP Network and providing a platform for exchanging expert opinions... On the third day, a Focus Group Meeting, chaired by ÇİFTGÜL, Deputy Provincial Director, took place in the meeting room of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Liaison representatives from various Erzurum provincial organizations, including Erzurum Commodity Exchange President Hakan ORAL, Provincial Directorate of Civil Society Relations of the Ministry of Interior, Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, Regional Directorate of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, Provincial Directorate of National Education, as well as representatives from Local Action Groups and ARDSI experts, participated in the meeting. ... On the fourth day, a Stakeholder Meeting was held with the participation of all the actors of the region in the field of rural development and agriculture, such as farmers, academics, cooperative and union representatives, and private sector representatives. In the widely attended meeting, stakeholders received detailed information about the CAP Network, and there was a fruitful exchange of perspectives on the potentials, priorities, challenges, and potential solutions for the region... As part of the program, visits were conducted to two facilities in Erzurum that receive support as part of the Rural Development Investments.
