The symposium was organized by the T.R. Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Agricultural Reform in Ankara on 15-17 December 2021. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ayşe Ayşin IŞIKGECE, European Commission DG AGRI, Rural Development and Pre-Accession Assistance Director Mario MILOUCHEV, T.B.M.M. Agricultural Forest Commission President Prof. Dr. Yunus KILIÇ and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Dr. Bekir PAKDEMİRLİ made the opening speeches.
The symposium was held with the gathering of all rural stakeholders. Stakeholders from public institutions, universities, agricultural cooperatives, producer unions, non-governmental organizations, sector representatives and investors, etc. which are involved in rural development participated in the symposium. Approximately 2000 people participated in the symposium both physically and online. Academic and institutional studies were presented and group evaluations were made at the symposium.
A road map has been determined for the determination of our vision and the improvement of rural living conditions together with all the stakeholders of rural development. At the end of the symposium, the final declaration was prepared and the targets were determined.
In the three-day symposium, which was held with the slogan of “Writing a Story of Change in the Rural”, the participants discussed rural development policies under 7 headings and exchanged views.

All stakeholders exchanged views on these topics in the symposium, where the things to be done for a rural with better conditions were discussed in detail.
